Therefore the approximate solubility of the test item was estimated to be below 1160 mg/L. The test was done a second time with a smaller initial weight, ca 9 mg of test item and larger amounts of water.

The test was stopped since the remaining undissolved test item was hard to see and therefore in further dilution steps could not be decided whether the test item is dissolved or not. The approximate solubility of the test item was determined to be < 10 mg/L.

Discussion and Conclusion
The solubility of the test item was determined in ultra-pure water at ambient temperature by visual inspection according to EC method A.6 (Regulation (EC) No 440/2008) and OECD guideline 105. Visual approach was selected because the test item is a UVCB substance. Two preliminary tests were done. The test was stopped since the remaining undissolved test item was hard to see and therefore in further dilution steps could not be decided whether the test item is dissolved or not. The approximate solubility of the test item was determined to be < 10 mg/L.

Conclusions:
Water solubility < 10 mg/L at ambient temperature (Preliminary Test, EU Method A.6)
Executive summary:

Water solubility <10 mg/L at ambient temperature (Preliminary Test, EU Method A.6)
