Conclusions:
The solubility of naphthenic acids, bismuth salts was determined by its saturation in water and subsequently determination of the concentration of the active ingredient dissolved. According to the results, the solubility in water of the substance at average temperature of 20 ±0.5 °C was < LoQ (0.0361 mg/L), (pH 3.84).
Executive summary:

The purpose of the OECD 105 study was to determine water solubility of bismuth naphthenate. In a pre-test water solubility was determined being lower than 1 g/L. In the final test, solubility was determined by ICP-OES detection of bismuth in water with a limit of quantification of 0.0361 mg/L and solubility at 20 °C was found being below the limit of quantification. Thus, the test substance is insoluble. The pH as mean over 72 hours was 3.84.
