Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
MPBPWIN™ is the estimation module in EPI Suite™ that predicts melting point (MP), boiling point (BP) and vapor pressure (VP). These properties can indicate physical state (solid, liquid, gas) and provide information on potential environmental partitioning and fate, as well as potential exposure routes of concern for workers and the general population.
Vapor pressure is estimated use three different methods: (1) Antoine, (2) Modified Grain method, and (3) the Mackay method. For solids the preferred method is the Modified Grain method which will use an experimental MP (if entered) to adjust the vapor pressure from a supercooled liquid to a solid. For liquids the preferred method is the mean of the Grain method and the Antoine methods.
