Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The experimentally determined melting point of the chemical subject to this registration is <-9 deg C. Melting point data are also available for four read-across chemicals. These chemicals are included in the Glycol Esters Category submitted by the American Chemistry Council for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a contribution to the U.S. EPA High Production Volume Chemical Program. All members of this category have similar molecular structure and functional groups. The functional groups in common are aliphatic ester groups and glycol ether groups. The glycol ether groups, joined together in one to four units are end-capped with various aliphatic acids via ester groups. The category members and the chemical subject to this registration all exhibit melting points <-9⁰C. The individual values for the read-across category members, as well as the chemical subject to this registration are given in the individual melting point study records in this section.
The MPBPWIN module (v1.43) of the U.S. EPA EpiSuite program (Copyright 2000 -2012) was used to calculate a melting point for the subject chemical. The value obtained bu this method was 95.76 ⁰C.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
- -9 °C
