Conclusions:
Using shake flask method the log Pow of the test item was determined to be -1.624 ± 0.082. The result is also applicable for the water free form of the test item.
Executive summary:

A study was performed in order to determine the partition coefficient of the test item according to OECD TG 107 and Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, method A.8 by using the shake flask method. The analytical determination was done by using HPLC. The log Pow of the test item was determined to be -1.624 ± 0.082. The six log Pow laid in a range of ± 0.3 units (0.224). The mass balances of the individual determinations showed 103.4 – 104.8 % deviation of nominal amount. Therefore the determination of the log Pow was considered as valid. The results are also applicable for the water free form of the test item.

Description of key information

Using shake flask method the log Pow of the test item was determined to be -1.624 ± 0.082 (pH between 2.23 and 2.25). The result is also applicable for the water free form of the test item.

Additional information

A study was performed in order to determine the partition coefficient of the test item according to OECD TG 107 and Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, method A.8 by using the shake flask method (reference 4.7-1). The analytical determination was done by using HPLC. The log Pow of the test item was determined to be -1.624 ± 0.082. The six log Pow were in a range of ± 0.3 units (0.224). The mass balances of the individual determinations showed 103.4 – 104.8 % deviation of nominal amount. Therefore, the determination of the log Pow was considered as valid. The results are also applicable for the water free form of the test item.
