- Conclusions:
- From the experimental data obtained, it can be concluded that the kinematic viscosity of the sample of d-phenothrin is 188.9 cSt (188.9 mm²/s) at 20 °C and 46.0 cSt (46.0 mm²/s) at 40 °C.
The dynamic viscosity is 200.3 cP (200.3 mPa*s) at 20 °C and 48.7 cP (48.7 mPa*s) at 40 °C, determined according to CIPAC MT 22.1. - Executive summary:
A test was performed according to CIPAC MT 22.1 "Viscosity of transparent and opaque liquids in CGS units". The measurement of the viscosity was carried out directly on the test article and the measurements were made at 20 °C and at 40 °C. The viscometer was placed vertically and charged with the test article. Then it was placed into a thermostatic bath controlled at the required temperature and after thermal equilibrium, suction was applied to the viscometer until the level of the liquid approximately reached the upper point. The suction was released and the time in seconds required for the bottom of the meniscus to pass from the upper to the lower point of the viscometer was measured by a chronometer. The measurements were performed in triplicate at each temperature.
From the experimental data obtained, it can be concluded that the kinematic viscosity of the sample of d-phenothrin is 188.9 cSt (188.9 mm²/s) at 20 °C and 46.0 cSt (46.0 mm²/s) at 40 °C.
The dynamic viscosity is 200.3 cP (200.3 mPa*s) at 20 °C and 48.7 cP (48.7 mPa*s) at 40 °C.
