Classification justification according to CLP

The substance is readily biodegradable but is expected to have a potential for bioaccumulation (Log Kow: 4.1 at 20 °C; OECD 117, HPLC method). Aquatic toxicity studies are available for aquatic invertebrates (EC50 (48 h): 2.3 mg/L) and aquatic microalgae (ErC50 (72 h): 0.23 mg/L; ErC10 (72 h): 0.15 mg/L). Therefore, the substance is classified as “Aquatic Acute 1” and “Aquatic Chronic 2” according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
