Nevertheless results from an inhalation study (saturated vapour, 0,04% in air) with guinea pig (10-775 min): the test resulted in irritation, lacrimation, salivation and watery discharge from the nose. Therefore 2,5-Hexanedione is classified as skin irritant, cat. 2 and labelled with H315.
