The particle size distribution of 1,4-divinylbenzene was determined by Granulometric analysis with Rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determine to be in the range of 150 micron to 25 micron.

Vapour pressure:

Vapour pressure of chemical 1,4-Diethenylbenzene is estimated to be 71.060 Pa at temperature 25 Deg C.

Partition coefficient:

Based on the available data from modeling database EPI suite using the KOWWIN V1.68 programme, the estimated logPOW of the chemical 1,4-Bis(ethenyl)benzene was estimated to be 4.46. On the basis of this estimated value, substance 1,4-Bis(ethenyl)benzene can be considered to be hydrophobic in nature.

Water solubility:

Water solubility of chemical 1,4-Diethenylbenzene is determine to be less than 0.001 mg/L therefore it is concluded that chemical is practically insoluble in water.

Surface tension:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, the study need only be conducted if surface activity is a desired property of the chemical.
