Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice :
Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.
Inhalation :
If aerosol or vapour is inhaled in high concentrations:
Take the person into the fresh air and keep him warm, let him rest; if there is difficulty in breathing, medical advice is required.
Skin contact :
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. If skin reactions occur, contact a physician.
Eye contact :
Contamination of the eyes must be treated by thorough irrigation with water, with the eyelids held open. A doctor (or eye) specialist should be consulted immediately.
Ingestion :
If product is swallowed drink plenty of water immediately.
Do NOT induce vomiting.
Then seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
CO2, foam, dry powder; for larger fires, water spray should be used
Specific hazards :
In the event of fire, do not breathe fumes.
Special protective equipment:
Firemen must wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information :
Make provision for product and fire-fighting water to be retained.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions :
Put on protective equipment (see Chapter 8). Ensure adequate ventilation/exhaust extraction. Keep unauthorised persons away
Environmental precautions :
Do not let product enter drains.
Methods for cleaning up :
Dyke and pump off spilled product. Take up small amounts with absorbent for chemicals or, if necessary with dry sand.
Dispose of in accordance with regulations.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling :
Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion :
Precautions should generally be taken against electrostatic charges accord ing to the equipment used and the way the product is handled and packaged.
Requirements for storage areas and containers :
Keep container tightly closed and dry.Storage under nitrogen. Keep away from sources of heat. Further specific information see our: Technical Data Sheet.
German storage class : 10 Combustible liquids

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection :
If vapours formed (from heated liquid!), a respirator with independent air supply must be used.
Hand protection :
Chemical-resistant protective gloves according to DIN/EN 374 are recommended. Conditionally suitable materials for protective gloves; DIN EN
374-3: polychloroprene - CR (>= 0,5 mm), Breakthrough time not tested; dispose of immediately after contamination.
Avoid skin contact with the wetted surfaces of the protective gloves.
Eye protection :
goggles/face protection
Body Protection :
Wear suitable protective clothing.
Hygiene measures :
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and the inhalation of vapour.
Keep away from foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco. Wash hands before breaks and at end of work. Keep working clothes separate. Change contaminated or soaked clothing.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity : No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Chemical stability : Stable under recommended storage conditions.
Hazardous reactions : None reasonably foreseeable.
Conditions to avoid : no data available
Materials to avoid : no data available
Hazardous decomposition products: No hazardous decomposition products when stored and handled correctly.
Disposal considerations
Product :
Dispose in accordance with applicable international, national and local laws, ordinances and statutes. For disposal within the EC, the appropriate code according to the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) should be used.
Contaminated packaging :
After containers have been emptied as thoroughly as possible (e.g. by pouring, scraping or draining until "drip-dry"), they can be sent to an appropriate collection point set up within the framework of the existing take-back scheme of the chemical industry.Containers must be recycled in compliance with national legislation and environmental regulations.
