The requirement to conduct an explosive properties study was waived in accordance with Column 2 Annex VII because the test substance was screened not to be explosive using the UN Recommendation Criteria. A calculated oxygen balance of about -238 which is below the limit of -200 was determined for the substance. Also, decomposition energy of about 320 J/g was determined using differential scanning calorimetry, with an onset exothermic peak observed at about 178°C .

There is no evidence to suggest that the substance should be classified for this endpoint.
