yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
other: Both Column Elution and flask method
Water solubility:
< 0.023 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 7.03 - <= 9.52
Remarks on result:
other: Detection limit of the instrument
Details on results:
As required by the guideline, equilibrium was reached as concentrations from the 5 last successive samples did not differ by more than by 30%

Validity

All the system was thermostated at 20°C +/- 0.5 °C.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): insoluble (< 0.1 mg/L)
All replicates give the result of water solubility as less than 0.023mg/L, which is the detection limit of the analysis method
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item has been assessed according to OECD guideline 105.

Description of key information

Read Across Statement

Fatty acids, vegetable-oil, Me esters (EINECS 273-606-8) is a typical Biodiesel product and is produced and specified according to DIN EN 14214. The DIN EN 14214 specifies all relevant physchem data. Not meeting these parameters the product cannot be placed to the market. Based on the raw material source the product can be named differently. The product used for this test, Fatty acids C16-C18 and C18-unsatd., Me esters (EINECS 267-015-4), is also a Biodiesel and fulfills the DIN EN 14214.

The water solubility is not a standard endpoint of the DIN EN 14214. Therefore the test was performed with EC 267-015-4 and read across to EC 273-606-8.
