Particle size distribution:
88.6% particle size larger than 500 µm
99.77% particle size larger than 75 µm

One study is reported for this endpoint. This study determined the particle size distribution of sodium hypophosphite using a sample of sodium hypophosphite placed into test sieves (manufactured by Haver and Boecker tested to BS 410 and ISO 565) with sieves apertures of 500, 250, 180, 150, 74, 45 and 32 µm. The test system was shaken during 10 minutes in a vibratory sieve shaker at amplitude 1. Each fraction was then collected and weighted.

The results showed that:

88.6% has a particle size >500µm

99.77% has a particle size >75µm.

The recovery of sodium hypophosphite was very good (99.87%) hence the study is considered reliable without restrictions.
