Based on the known chemical and physical properties of the substance and its chemical structure, a negative result is predicted for the A14 Explosive Properties test of Council Regulation (EC) no 440/2008. As such it is considered justified to omit the test.

Description of key information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the explosive properties study, which is usually required in section 7.11, does not need to be conducted based on a structural assessment of the substance. From the structural formula it can be concluded that the substance is not explosive as it does not have functional groups associated with explosivity. There are also no concerns from experience in use.
