Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Experimental (loading dependent) results (OECD 105, EU A.6, flask method, at 20 °C, pH 8.3 -8.5):
29 mg/L (loading ca. 50 mg/L)
56 mg/L (loading ca. 100 mg/L)
132 mg/L (loading ca. 300 mg/L)
In an earlier experiment, values between 20 - 29 mg/L were obtained
(ASTM E 1148-02, flask method, at 21 °C, pH 6 -7). They can be
considered supporting as well as the QSAR result of 44.03 mg/L EPISuite,
WaterNT v1.01).
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Water solubility:
- 56 mg/L
- at the temperature of:
- 20 °C
Additional information
The substance is a UVCB substance with constituents of different solubilities in water, depending on the ethoxylation degree. It is therefore difficult for testing and the result depends on the loading - in the recent experiment, as well in the earlier one. This can be explained by the enrichment of the more polar species in the aqueous phase. Due to the independent solubility characteristics of the various constituents of the test item, no discrete value for the water solubility could be determined. Nevertheless, reliable values of the order of magnitude between 10 -100 mg/L, or slightly above 100 mg/L, are consequenly obtained, also from QSAR calculations. For chemical safety assessment a value for the loading of ca. 100 mg/L, i.e. 56 mg/L at 20 °C, is selected.
