PNECs were derived for freshwater, saltwater, sediment and soil using the HC5 model plus statistical extrapolation or equilibrium partitioning calculations

Conclusion on classification

The lowest reported acute result is a 48 hour LC50 for Daphnia of 3.84 mg/l. There is an OECD 301 biodegradation study which indicates that this substance is not readily biodegradable; with no NOEC values available this would result in a classification of Chronic Category 2 with the hazard statement 'Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects'.
