Description of key information

The boiling point of dichloroacetyl chloride was determined experimentally (boiling point at 1013 mbar is between 106-108ºC) and from publication (The Merck Index data the substance Boiling point is 107-108º C at 760 mm Hg). The decomposition of Dichloroacetyl chloride, determined Differential Thermal Analisis starts slowly at 430ºC.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
380 K
