Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Experimental value of Log Pow at 20°C: 0.3
Estimated by extrapolation value of log Pow at 20°C: -0.6

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
0.3
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The partition coefficient was determined by the HPLC method according to OECD guideline 117 and GLP. No deviation from the guideline was observed in the study.

In the key study, the values log Pow were obtained by extrapolation of the curve of the log of partition coefficient versus capacity factor. So the 'real' experimental value of the test substance partition coefficient is considered to be lower than the lowest partition coefficient of reference substance (2 -Butanone): log Pow = 0.3
