Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
< 1 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.6
Details on results:
Water solubility of Blown rapeseed oil not corrected for the blanks was < 1 mg/L which is the limit of quantification for analysis on Total Organic Carbon. Because sensitivity of this method cannot be improved and because there are no other methods applicable for analysis of Blown rapeseed oil in water, water solubility of Blown rapeseed oil is reported to be < 1 mg/L. Correction for the blanks was not considered reliable due to the spread between the blanks analysed in both preliminary tests, and was therefore omitted.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): other: between insoluble and slightly soluble
The flask method was chosen for the determination of the water solubility of Blown rapeseed oil. The water solubility of the test substance at 20°C was < 1 mg/L. The pH of the aqueous samples after stirring for 72 hours was 6.9.
