Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of alcohols, C16-18, ethoxylated, phosphates (CAS 106233-09-4) to Daphnia magna was determined according to OECD-Guideline 202 (Harris, 2013). The static test was conducted with water accommodated fractions of 50 mg/L test item loadings for 48 hours. Five test organisms were exposed to each test concentration in four parallels.Water quality parameters such as temperature, pH-value and O2-saturation were determined to be within the acceptable limits. Chemical analysis of the 100% v/v saturated solution test preparations at 0 and 48 hours showed that measured concentrations of 0.169 and 0.159 mg/L were obtained, indicating that the test item was stable under test conditions. There was no immobilization among 20 daphnids exposed to a mean measured test concentration of 0.164 mg/L for a period of 48 hours. Thus, the EL50 after 48 hours was determined to be > 0.164 mg/L.
