First-aid measures
Ensure that the First Aid Personnel are aware of the product involved, and take precautions to protect themselves (e.g. wear personal protection equipment). Remove affected person from danger area, lay him down. Keep warm, calm and covered up.
If inhaled: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm.
In case of skin contact: In case of contact with skin, clean with soap and water.
In case of eye contact: In case of contact with the eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water or with an eye-cleaning solution.
If swallowed: When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the packaging or the label of the packaging.
The following symptoms may occur: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain.
The first aid procedure should be established in consultation with the doctor responsible for industrial medicine.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: alcohol-resistant foam, Dry powder, Water spray jet
Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet, Carbon dioxide (CO2)
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
Under certain conditions of combustion traces of other toxic substances cannot be excluded.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases Use self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Use water spray to cool unopened containers. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of inaccordance with local regulations. Please observe escape and rescue routes!
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Remove persons to safety. The danger areas must be delimited and identified using relevant warning and safety signs.
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Prevent further leakage or spillage. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly while observing environmental regulations. Retain and dispose of contaminated wash water.
Methods for cleaning up: Contain spillage, pick up with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and transfer to a container for disposal according to local regulations.
Handling and storage
Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary). Avoid the formation and deposition of dust (capable of dust explosion).
Provide exhaust ventilation if dust is formed. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. This substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions as specified in REACH regulation.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Dust can form an explosive mixture with air. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Hygiene measures: Do not eat, drink or smoke during work time. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again. Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt). Keep away from food and drink. Clean hands and face during work intervals and after work. Avoid contact of the substance.
Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs

Exposure controls / personal protection
Technical measures: Product should be worked up in closed equipment as far as possible. Apply technical measures to comply with the occupational exposure limits. This should be achieved by a good general ventilation and/or -if practically feasible- by the use of a local exhaust ventilation. Dust must be extracted directly at the point of origin. Apply measures to prevent dust explosions.
Eye protection: Depending on the risk, wear sufficient eye protection (safety glasses with side protection or goggles, and if necessary, face shield.)
Hand protection: Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific to place of work. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifica-tions of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special work-place conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
Suitable: Nitrile rubber gloves. Butyl rubber gloves. With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.
Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Gloves should be discarded and replaced if there is any indi-cation of degradation or chemical breakthrough.
Gloves must be rinsed thoroughly after use.
Skin and body protection: Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concen-tration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the specific work-place, e.g. apron, boots, protective suit (EN 14605, EN ISO 13982-1, EN 13034).
Respiratory protection: Use the indicated respiratory protection if the occupational exposure limit is exceeded and/or in case of product release (dust).
Half mask with a particle filter (EN 143).
General protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. The type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Stability and reactivity
No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use. Stable under normal conditions. Dust can form an explosive mixture in air.
Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks.
Materials to avoid: No data available
Hazardous decomposition products: when handled and stored appropriately no dangerous decomposition products are known
Disposal considerations
Product: Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators. Observe local authority regulations.
Contaminated packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste. For disposal local regulation is binding.
