The 72h-NOErC and ErC50 were > maximum solubility of the substance in test medium.

The substance was tested for growth inhibition to fresh water algae according to OECD 201 (1984) and in compliance with GLP principles. The algae were exposed to a range of dilutions of a 100% filtrate prepared from 100 mg/L nominal test substance. The measured concentration in the 100% filtrate were 0.84 and 0.89 mg/L with and without algae, respectively at the start of the test and decreased by more than 20% already by 48 hours. As these measured concentrations were larger than the maximum solubility of each of the components of KY-RB in water, it may be that undissolved material was present in the test solution. Given the fact, however, that no effects were observed throughout the test with such an oversaturation, it is possible to come to a qualitative conclusion: the 72h-NOErC and ErC50 were > maximum solubility of the substance in medium. Therefore, a reliability 2 was given.
