Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial

respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a

physician.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least

5 minutes. Get medical help if irritation persists.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water thoroughly. Get medical help if

irritation persists.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. If victim is unconscious,

do not give anything. Call physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, foam, dry chemical.

Product arising from burning: Thermal decomposition or combustion may produce toxic and

irritant gas, such as carbon monoxide, sulfur oxide,

nitrogen oxide and aromatic organic compounds.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and complete

personal protective equipment.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal protection:

Do not breathe dust. Use general and/or local exhaust

ventilation to control dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes

and clothing. Keep away from food, drink and animal feed.

When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before

breaks and at the end of the work day. Safety showers and

eye washes are provided.

Exposure precautions:

Respiratory protection: if dust is generated, wear suitable

dust respirator.

Hand protection: gloves made of polyvinyl chloride (outside)

and polyester (55 %) and cotton (45 %) inside.

Skin protection: wear suitable working clothes, gloves and

boots.

Eye protection: use safety glases and if dust is generated

safety goggles.

Methods for cleaning:

Sweep up, place in bag and hold for appropriate waste

disposal. Wash spill site after material pickup is

completed.

Environmental precautions:

Avoid discharging spill site wash water into sea, river or

lake without treatment and/or the authority's approval.

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods must be designed so that exposure by

inhalation of the substance is minimized. In addition, skin

contact with the substance should be avoided. Closed, or at

least dustproof, equip-ment should be used during filling

and metered feeding as well as, if applicable, during

sampling. In the case of handling in open systems, any dust

that can form must be extracted directly at the point of

origin. If technical extraction or ventilation measures are

not possible or are insufficient, respiratory protection

(e.g. dust mask according to the standard EN 149 FFP1)

should be worn. To avoid skin contact, tested protective

gloves according to the standard EN 374 (e.g. gloves made of

polyvinyl chloride (outside), polyester (55 %) and cotton

(45 %, inside)) and, if applicable, suitable pro-tective

clothing according to standard EN 368 (e.g. :::) and boots

should be worn.

Eye protection: use safety glases and if dust is generated

safety goggles.

Outdoor clothing should be kept separate from working

clothes.

Environmental exposure control:

Use general and/or local exhaust ventilation to control

dust. Prevent from entering into drains, diches, rivers,

lakes, sea.

Storage: Keep away from direct sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place.

Keep away from oxidising agents, strong acids and bases and

high temperature.

Keep containers tightly closed and secure by suitable measur

es against falling down.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Aluminium vapor deposition bags surrounded by craft paper

bags.
