Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with running water and seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water mist, carbon dioxide and foam are suitable
extinguishing agents. Products of combustion may include
oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur together with some
soot. All extinguishing agents may be used.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear protective clothing (c.f. 2.3.1) Solid: Collect spill
into labelled containers and dispose of in accordance with
local regulations. Uncontaminated material may be returned
to original container. Liquid: Absorb spill with sand,
earth etc and dispose of in accordance with local
regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: Handle product in a well ventilated area; take precautions
to avoid ingestion, skin and eye contact, and inhalation of
dust. Use rubber or plastic gloves, aprons and safety
goggles with side-sheilds, wear a respirator if dust is
generated.
Storage: Store in cool dry places, away from excessive heat in
original or similar water-proof containers; reseal
containers immediatley after use. Avoid unnecessary
contact.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: The dry substance may form flammable dust clouds in air.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not economically feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Provided the substance is diluted below 100 mg/l, it may be
discharged into aqueous systems.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended. The subtance may be disposed of by
incineration above 950 deg C. Waste gas scrubbing to remove
oxides of sulphur and nitrogen should be used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is unlikely to inhibit aerobic or anaerobic
systems and will be almost decolourised under anaerobic
conditions. Aqueous effluent will contain <100 mg/l (the
colour also provides an effective control on discharge
levels.)
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not economically feasible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Empty ink cartridges and printed paper can be disposed of
as office waste.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Empty ink cartridges and printed paper can be disposed of
as office waste.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
