First-aid measures
General information : Get medical aid.
First aid measures :
- Inhalation : Assure fresh air breathing. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.
- Skin contact : Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash them before using them again. Rinse immediately with mild soap and water.
- Eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 min. Occasionally lift up the upper and lower eyelids.
- Ingestion : If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious).
Note to physician : treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media : Foam, carbon dioxide, water (for important fires).
Protection against fire : Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (or quivalent) and full protective gear.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section Exposure controls and personal precaution. Avoid inhaling vapors, fogs of pulverizing or gases. Remove all sources of ignition. Beware of vapors accumulating to form explosive concentrations. Special attention should be given to low areas/pits where flammble vapors can accumulate.
Environmental precautions : Do not let the chemical enter the environment.
Clean up methods : Avoid generating dusty conditions. Collect spilled material with a antistatic vacuum cleaner, brush wet and put it in a container for disposal according to local regulations.
Handling and storage
Storage : Store in tightly closed, properly ventilated containers. Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated area.Carefully close all opened container and kept upright to prevent leakage.
Handling : Avoid inhaling vapors, fogs of pulverizing or gases. Remova all sources of ignition - No smoking. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
This substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions in accordance with Reach regulation Article 18(4) for transported isolated intermediate. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management system is available at each site. Written confirmation of application of strictly controlled conditions has been received from every downstream user of the intermediate.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Industrial hygiene : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.
Personal protection :
- Respiratory protection : When risks assessment shows that the breathing apparatus utilisation is appropriate, use a full face mask with versatile cartridge (U.S.) or type ABEK (EN 14387). If the mask is the only protection, use a self-contained breathing apparatus with full face shield. Use of equipement and components tested and approved by NIOSH and CEN (EU).
- Hand protection : Wear suitable gloves resistant to chemical penetration. USe a technique of withdrawal of gloves suited to avoid that the skin contacts the product. Throw contaminated gloves after the use according to the good practices of laboratory.
- Skin protection : Wear suitable flame retardant antistatic protective clothing. Protective boots if the situation requires.
- Eye protection : Chemical goggles or safety glasses.

Stability and reactivity
Stability and reactivity : Stable under advised conditions.
Materials to avoid : oxidizing agents.
Conditions to avoid : incompatible materials, light (daylight), heat, sparks, open flame.
Disposal considerations
Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local / national regulations.
