- Effects on reproduction: At 500 mg/kg bw/d increased post natal loss and lower body weights of the pups. These results were considered to be due to parental toxicity following treatment with the test item. The NOAEL was 150 mg/kg bw/d.
- General toxic effects on parental animals observed at 150 mg/kg bw/d. This is consistent with an in 1997 conducted 28-d repeated dose oral toxicity study, where the LOAEL was determined to 85 mg/kg bw/d.

Effects on pup growth: At 150 mg/kg bw/d (dose of P animals) reduced body weight of pups. These results were considered to be due to parental toxicity following treatment with the test item. The NOEL was 50 mg/kg bw/d.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Since the toxic effects on fertility of parents and development of offspering were observed at relatively high concentrations only, where also general toxic effects start coming into play, for CA 2343 A no classification is proposed as to its reprotoxic properties.
