Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
data sheet.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least
15 minutes. Seek immediate medical attention and show
safety data sheet.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas with copious amounts of water and soap.
In case of persistent skin irritation, search medical
attention and show safety data sheet.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, seek medical advice
immediately and show safety data sheet.
In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical
advice immediately (show label/safety data sheet where
possible).
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Dispose fire residues and contaminated extinguishing agent
according to local official instructions.
Collect contaminated water for fire-fighting separately, do
not empty into drains.
Accidental release measures
Wear the personal protection outfit (see 2.3.10).
Wear suitable respiratory equipment in case of exposure to
vapour/dust/aerosol.
Avoid the substance from getting into surface waters or the
canalisation.
In case of penetration in surface water, soil or
canalisation, notify responsible agency.
Absorb with liquid binding materials (e.g. sand, sawdust,
universal binding agent).
Handle absorbed material according to disposal management
indication.
The containers label in accordance with Technical Rule 201.
Handling and storage
inhalation of the substance and by skin contact is minimized
and eye contact is excluded. All working methods must be
designed so that exposure by inhalation of the substance
and by skin contact is minimized and eye contact is
excluded. Closed or at least splashproof equipment should be
used during filling, transfer and metered feeding as well as
during sampling. In the case of handling in open systems,
any vapours that can form should be extracted directly at
the point of origin. If technical extraction or ventilation
measures are not possible or are insufficient, respiratory
protection (e.g. :::) should be worn. To avoid skin contact,
tested protective gloves (s. below) and suitable protective
clothing (s. below) should be worn. Safe eye protection
(s. below) is absolutely essential. Adequate washing
facilities should be available in the immediate vicinity of
the work area and eye douches should be made available and
their location indicated conspicuously.
Wash hands for breaks and at finishing time. Avoid contact
with skin and eyes.
Preventive skin-protection by applicating skin-protection
ointment.
Change contaminated clothing immediately.
Do not eat, drink or smoke in the working area.
Personal protective equipment:
- protective gloves (of nitrile or butyl rubber)
- tight-fitting safety goggles
- face protector
- disposal protective clothing.
Storage: For the storage the original packaging drums or other
unbreakable and correctly labelled containers are to be
used.
Keep container tightly closed and dry in a cool,
wellventilated place and secure by suitable measures against
falling down.
Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs.
Keep away from frost.
Keep away from heat and direct insolation.
Proetect against moisture and water.
Avoid product residues on the packing drums.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Lidded steal drum (180 kg)

Stability and reactivity
Chemical reaction with water: The substance is hydrolysed fast to 2,2-Dimethyl-3-
lauroyloxy-propanal and the corresponding amine.
Dust explosion: Substance is a liquid.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
oligomeres)of the two substances 2,2-Dimethyl-3-lauroyloxy-
propanal (CAS No. 102985-93-3) and Polyetheramin T 403
(CAS No. 39423-51-3). During the hardening process Sika
Härter LTJ is hydrolysed to the aldehyde and amine. The
latter reacts and becomes chemically bound to the polymer
matrix, in which the aldehyde is integrated irreversibly.
