Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Short-term toxicity to fish: An acute 96-h toxicity test was conducted to estimate the toxicity of propineb to Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Based on nominal concentrations of propineb, the LC50 (96 h) was determined to be 0.329 mg a.s./L.
Long-term toxicity to fish: A 28 day study was conducted to estimate the long-term toxicity of propineb to Rainbow Trout under outdoor field conditions. The NOEC was determined to be ≥600 µg a.s./L, the highest treatment level used.
Short-term toxicity to Daphina: An acute 48-h toxicity test was conducted to determine the influence of propineb on the mobility of Daphnia magna in a static exposure. Based on mean-measured concentrations of propineb, the 48-h EC50 for was determined to be 1.50 mg a.s./L.
Long-term toxicity to Daphina: A study was conducted to investigate the toxicity of propineb to Daphnia magna over 21-day study under flow-through conditions. The 21-d NOEC was determined to be 0.015 mg a.s./L (based on mean measured concentrations).
Toxicity to algae: A study was conducted to determine the influence of propineb on exponentially growing Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata over 72hr under static exposure. Based on mean measured concentrations, the 72-h ErC50 and NOEC (base on growth rate) were determined to be 0.022 mg a.s./L and 0.009 mg a.s./L.
Toxicity to microorganisms: The activated sludge was exposed to propineb for 3 hr to investigate the toxicity. The EC50 was determined to be >1000 mg a.s./L. Propineb showed 17.8% respiration inhibition of activated sludge at the highest test concentration of 1000 mg a.s./L (based on nominal concentration).
