Additional information

Based on the corrosive properties of TETA it is expected that TETA also will be irritating to the upper respiratory tract when inhaled. Inhalation of sufficiently high vapour concentrations, however, is not likely based on the low vapour pressure.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance has to be classified as corrosive to skin with an exposure time < 3 minutes, category 1A (CLP). However, the legal classification differs from the study results and the substance is therfore classified in the EU as category 1B.
