Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: First aider: Pay attention to self-protection! Remove affected person from the danger area and lay down.
After inhalation: Provide fresh air. Medical treatment necessary.
After contact with skin: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
After contact with eye: In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart and consult an ophthalmologist.
After ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and drink 1 glass of of water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Adverse human health effects and symptoms: Gastric perforation. Call a physician immediately. Do not allow a neutralisation agent to be drunk.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Co-ordinate fire-fighting measures to the fire surroundings. Suitable extinguishing media: -Alcohol resistant foam. -Extinguishing powder. -Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture In case of fire may be liberated: Carbon monoxide Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Advice for firefighters: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Full protection suit. In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.
Additional information: Suppress gases/vapours/mists with water spray jet.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Use personal protection equipment. General measures for handling chemical preparations should be followed.
Environmental precautions: No special environmental measures are necessary. Clean contaminated articles and floor according to the environmental legislation.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Take up mechanically. Treat the recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal . Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents)
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Advice on safe handling: If handled uncovered, arrangements with local exhaust ventilation have to be used. Avoid dust formation. Do not breathe dust. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Provide earthing of containers, equipment, pumps and ventilation facilities.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels: Keep container tightly closed. Keep locked up. Store in a place accessible by authorized persons only. Provide adequate ventilation as well as local exhaustion at critical locations.
Storage class (D): 11 (Brennbare Feststoffe, die keiner der vorgenannten LGK zuzuordnen sind)
