Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

During the manufacturing process the substance is heated up (70°C) and packaged in drums as a liquid. It is subsequently cooled down to room temperature in the drums to form a solid mass and is transported as such to formulation sites. For use the drums are heated up to 60°C – 80°C to allow removal during the formulation process. The formulations produced are mixtures either as granules intended for dissolution in water, or liquid products. As a result, the substance is only handled industrially as a solid mass on which granulometry cannot be performed, or liquified form at elevated temperature, or in end use products as liquid or granulated mixtures. Thus, according to Regulation (EC) no. 1907/2006, Annex VII, 7.14, column 2, the study on granulometry does not need to be conducted as the substance is marketed and used in a granular or non-solid form.
