Description of key information

Appearance: Liquid

Physical state: Gel.

Colour: Colourless.

Melting point / freezing point: The product is gel that solidify at temperature of 24.5(+/-0.5)°C.

Boiling point: The study does not need to be conducted because the substance decompose before boiling.

Density: The product have a density of 0.98kg/dm3 at temperature of 25°C.

Particle size distribution (Granulometry): The test subtance is gel-liquid

Vapour pressure: 4.41E-019 mm Hg (20°C, Modified Grain Method) - 1.46E-018 mm Hg (25°C, Modified Grain Method)

Partition coefficient: The study does not need to be conducted because the substance contains peroxide that hydrolize in contact with water.

Water solubility: the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is hydrolytically unstable because the substance contains peroxide that hydrolize in contact with water.

Surface tension: The study does not need to be conducted because water solubility is below 1 mg/L at 20°C The substance hydrolize in contact with water.

Flash point: 108°C.

Auto flammability: the study does not need to be conducted for liquid organic peroxides, because the vapours decompose during the execution of the test.

Flammability: The substance is a liquid-gel. Study scientifically not necessary / other information available.

Explosiveness: the study does not need to be conducted because the substance contains chemical groups associated with explosive properties which include oxygen, but the calculated oxygen balance is less than – 200. As Chapter R7.11.1 of the Guide R.7a the oxigen balance was calculated by the formula: Oxigen balance=-1600[2x+(y/2)-z]/molecular weight=-232,08  Used parameters: z=58, Y=103, Z=15 (Ozonized triglycerides as the most representative substance of UVCB).

Oxidising properties: non oxidising.

pH: ca.3.6
