Oxidising properties
Administrative data
- Endpoint:
- oxidising liquids
- Data waiving:
- study scientifically not necessary / other information available
- Justification for data waiving:
- the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
- the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is flammable
- Justification for type of information:
- The liquid substance is highly flammable according to flash point information and GHS criteria provided, in addition, All of the oxygen amount present in the substance are bound to carbon or hydrogen. the substance doesn't contain fluorine and very small amount of organic chlorides (360 ppm bounded to hydrocarbons).

Any other information on results incl. tables
All of the oxygen amount present in the substance are bound to carbon or hydrgen. In addition the substance doesn't contain fluorine and very small amount of organic chlorides ( 360 ppm). Therefore, it can be concluded that the substance does not have oxidising potential and does not require classification as an oxidising agent. Moreove, oxidizing stability according to EN ISO 12205 was not technically possible.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- other: No oxidising properties
- Conclusions:
- It is concluded that the UVCB substance does not have oxidising potential and does not require classification as an oxidising agent.
- Executive summary:
The oxidising properties of the substance were determined based an assessment of the composition of the substance and the molecular structure of its components. None of the components of the substance were found to have functional groups associated with oxidising potential. It was concluded that the test substance does not have oxidising potential and does not require classification as an oxidising agent.
