During the heating phase an endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of 50– 130 °C, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. In the temperature range of 230 – 450 °C an exothermic effect with a decomposition energy of approx. -1230 J/g, directly followed by an endothermic effect in the temperature range of 450 – 490 °C was observed.

Conclusions:
The test item Octadecanoic acid, reaction products with triethylenetetramine has no boiling point up to the decomposition of the test item in the temperature range of 230 – 450 °C at atmospheric pressure (991 hPa).
Executive summary:

The Boiling Point of Octadecanoic acid, reaction products with triethylenetetramine was determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 103 (27 July 1995) and according to the test method A.2." Boiling Temperature" as described in the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The heating phase covered a range from room temperature to 500 °C.

The test item Octadecanoicacid, reaction products with triethylenetetramine has no boiling point up to the decomposition of the test item in the temperature range of 230 – 450 °C at atmospheric pressure (991 hPa).
