Any other information on results incl. tables

The following partition coefficients were determined for the two chromatographic peaks of the test item:

-          First peak: log = 7.68.

-          Second peak: log Pow = 8.15.

According to a Sponsor’s internal study, the first peak seems to correspond to the caprylyl glycol linolenate (sum of primary and secondary esters, representing about 50% of the test item), and the second peak to caprylyl glycol linoleate (representing 8.6% of the test item).

These values are the mean of three independent measurements.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test substance is considered to have a partition coefficient (log Pow) in the range 7.68 – 8.15.
