Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Temperature Data

The temperatures which were measured in the experiment are presented in the following table. As many values were recorded, only the values every 60 minutes (until the oven had reached the chosen temperature) are presented.

Conclusions:
No increase in the temperature of the sample in comparison to that of the oven could be detected; also no signs of ignition could be observed.
The test item Iodobis(triphenylphospino)copper is considered as not auto-flammable up to the melting point of 186.5 – 197.4 °C under the test conditions.
No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.
Executive summary:

The auto-flammability behaviour was determined by placing the testitem into a stainless steel cube and heating from room temperature to an oven temperature of 205 °C with the ZPA-3 oven.

No increase in the temperature of the sample in comparison to that of the oven could be detected, also no signs of ignition could be observed.

Therefore, the test itemIodobis(triphenylphospino)coppershould be considered as

                                              not auto-flammable

up to the melting point of 186.5 °C – 197.4 °C under the test conditions.

Description of key information
