Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye contact: * Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Transfer to hospital for specialist examination.
Ingestion: * Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. If conscious, give half a litre of water to drink immediately. If irritation develops or persists seek medical attention.
Inhalation: * Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so. If conscious, ensure the casualty sits or lies down. If unconscious and breathing is OK,
place in the recovery position. If unconscious, check for breathing and apply artificial respiration if necessary. If symptoms develop seek medical attention.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Skin contact: * Irritation or pain may occur at the site of contact. There may be redness or whiteness of the skin in the area of exposure. An itchy rash may occur at the site of contact.
Eye contact: * There may be irritation and redness. The eyes may water profusely. Repeated exposure may cause chronic eye irritation. May cause mechanical irritation to the eyes.
Ingestion: May cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract. Nausea and stomach pain may occur. There may be vomiting and diarrhoea.
Inhalation: There may be irritation of the throat with a feeling of tightness in the chest. May cause irritation of the mucous membranes and respiratory system. May cause shortness of breath, sneezing and coughing.
Delayed / immediate effects: * Immediate effects can be expected after short-term exposure. Nausea and stomach pain may occur.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Immediate / special treatment: * Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. A decontamination shower should be available on the premises. Eye bathing equipment should be available on the premises.
Fire-fighting measures
Exposure hazards: In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide. Non-flammable, but will support combustion. In a fire may liberate acrid and irritant fumes.
Advice for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Accidental release measures
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
Clean-up procedures: Transfer to a closable, labelled salvage container for disposal by an appropriate method. Wash the spillage site with large amounts of water.
Handling and storage
Storage conditions: Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid contact with water or humidity. Avoid incompatible materials and conditions.
Suitable packaging: Must only be kept in original packaging.

Exposure controls / personal protection
mentioned in section 7 of SDS are in place.
Respiratory protection: * Respiratory protective device with particle filter. Particle filter class P2S (EN143).
Hand protection: * Protective gloves. Gloves (acid resistant).
Eye protection: * Safety goggles. Face-shield. Ensure eye bath is to hand.
Skin protection: Protective clothing. Boots made of PVC. Ensure safety shower is to hand.
Environmental: * No special requirement.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Hazardous reactions: Hazardous reactions will not occur under normal transport or storage conditions.
Decomposition may occur on exposure to conditions or materials listed below.
Conditions to avoid: Heat. Hot surfaces. Flames. Moist air. Humidity. Moisture.
Materials to avoid: Oxidising agents
Haz. decomp. products: In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide.
Disposal considerations
Recovery operations: * No information available at this time.
Disposal of packaging: Contaminated containers must not be treated as household waste. Where practical, containers and packaging should be recycled by a licenced contactor.
NB: The user's attention is drawn to the possible existence of regional or national regulations regarding disposal.
