Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The biodegradation potential of the substance in water was determined in a screening study according to OECD TG 301F (Manometric Respirometry) and in compliance with GLP criteria (BASF, 1989). In this study 141 mg/L test substance was inoculated with activated sludge for 18 days under aerobic conditions in the dark. During the incubation period the biological oxygen demand (BOD) was measured and biodegradation expressed as percentage of the theoretical uptake (ThOD). After the 18 -day incubation period the ThOD 85.6% and the plateau phase was reached. Therefore the test was terminated after 18 days. Afer 2 days inoculation ca. 10% biodegradation was observed. Biodegradation reached ca. 60% after 7 days. Therefore, the 10 -day window criterion was met. The substance is readily biodegradable.
