100.1 mg of the test substance were added to 900 mL M4-media and stirred for 4 hours. Than the stock solution was filled up to 1L. The stock solution appeared milky turbid and the pH was 8.0 (correspond to test concentration of 100 mg/L). The pH of M4 media was 8.0.
Dilution solution 1:10 mL of the stock solution was diluted with M4 media to 100 mL (correspond to test concentration of 10 mg/L). Dilution solution 2:10 mL of the dilution solution 1 was diluted with M4 media to 100 mL (correspond to test concentration of 1 mg/L).

The effect of the test substance on the immobilisation of Daphnia magna STRAUS was investigated in a screening study. Juvenile daphnids (<24 h old) were exposed to 1, 10 and 100 mg/L (nominal) of the test substance and compared to a control. Analytical monitoring was not conducted. Immobilisation of the daphnids is determined after 24 and 48 hours of exposure. After 48 hours an EC50 of >100 mg/L was observed (based on nominal concentrations).
