Administrative data
First-aid measures
Remove to fresh air and keep at rest.
If breathing is difficult, immediately call medical assistance. Give oxygen or artificial respiration.
After skin contact:
Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water for 15 minutes.
Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
After eyes contact:
Immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.
Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
Seek medical advice.
After ingestion:
IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Show this Safety data sheet or the label.
Rinse out mouth with water.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Sprayed water jet, foam, extinguishing powder, CO2, sand.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Any. Avoid strong water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Substance is not flammable. However, in a fire, it can decompose, giving off toxic fumes of carbon oxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen chloride (HCl) and chlorine (Cl2).
Advice for firefighters / responders: Firefighting responders should equip themselves with a complete body and heat resistant protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 137 / EN 145). Keep run-off water out of sewers and water sources.
Accidental release measures
Ventilate contaminated area.
Avoid contact with the substance. Do not breathe dust.
Remove from spill site any person whose presence is not necessary. Keep upwind.
The others should wear the personal protective equipment listed in Chapter 8 of the MSDS.
Environmental precautions:
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal.
Avoid formation of dust.
Handling and storage
Take precautions to prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge.
Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Handle and use only in well-ventilated areas.
Safety shower and eyewash fountain should be available.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.
Avoid breathing dust. Avoid repeated or prolonged exposure.
Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep apart working clothes.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Technical measures: Suitable stores with adequate product-reception volume must be used.
Storage conditions: Keep containers tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area.
Packaging materials: Fibre drum with one or several inner bags, non filtering.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment:
Eyes / Face protection: Chemical safety goggles with side shields (EN 166)
Skin protection: Suitable protective body clothing (EN 13982-1 in case of dust)
Hand protection: Protective gloves for chemical made of Baypren, nitrile rubber or PVC wear. Breakthrough time not tested; dispose off immediately after contamination.
Respiratory protection: Recommended respiratory protection: Full mask with filter ABEK-ST (ABEK-P3).
Self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 137 / EN 145 - NIOSH/MSHA approved in USA) in case of important risk or prolonged exposure, for example in case of fire fighting.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical Stability: The substance is stable at room temperature and under normal storage and handling conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: None known.
Conditions to avoid: Do not allow substance to come in contact with moisture.
Incompatible materials: No data available.
Hazardous decomposition products: In case of fire: toxic fumes of carbon oxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen chloride (HCl) and chlorine (Cl2). Decomposition in water: not concerned.
Disposal considerations
Product residues: Do not allow to enter surface waters or groundwater. Transport to suitable incinerator with reduced non-air emission.
