Description of key information

Appearance

The appearance of Disodium 2-[[5-carbamoyl-1-ethyl-1,6-dihydro-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-oxo-3-pyridyl] azo]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[3-[[2-(sulphonatooxy)ethyl] sulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]benzenesulphonate was observed to be a dry solid organic powder.

Melting point

Based on prediction done using MPBPVP v1.43, the melting point of disodium 2-[(5-carbamoyl-1-ethyl-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-oxo-1,6 -dihydropyridin- 3-yl)diazenyl]-4-({4-chloro-6-[(3-{[2-(sulfonatooxy)ethyl]sulfonyl}phenyl)amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl}amino)benzenesulfonate was estimated to be 349.84˚C.

Boiling Point

According to Column II of Annex VII of REACH regulation, the boiling point study does not need to be conducted because the substance Disodium 2-[[5-carba moyl-1-ethyl-1,6-dihydro-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-oxo-3-pyridyl] azo]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[3-[[2-(sulphonatooxy)ethyl] sulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl] amino] benzenesulphonate (CAS No.84000-63-5) is a solid at room temperature which also melts above 300°C. Hence, it is not feasible to determine boiling point of the substance and hence the endpoint was considered for waiver.

Density

The density of disodium 2-[(5-carbamoyl-1-ethyl-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-oxo -1,6-dihydropyridin -3-yl)diazenyl] -4-({4-chloro-6-[(3-{[2-(sulfonatooxy) ethyl]sulfonyl}phenyl)amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl}amino)benzenesulfonate was estimated to be 1.80 g/cm3 at 25 degC.

Particle size distribution

The particle size distribution of disodium 2-[(5 -carbamoyl-1 -ethyl-2 -hydroxy-4 -methyl-6 -oxo-1,6 -dihydropyridin-3 -yl)diazenyl]-4 -({4 -chloro-6 -[(3 -{[2 - (sulfonatooxy)ethyl]sulfonyl}phenyl)amino]-1,3,5 -triazin-2 -yl}amino)benzenesulfonate was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determined to be in the range of 53 micron to 150 micron.

Vapour pressure

Modified Grain method (Mean of Antoine and Modified Grain methods) was used to estimate the vapour pressure of the substance2-[[5-carbamoyl-1-ethyl-1,6-dihydro-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-oxo-3-pyridyl]azo]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[3-[[2-(sulphonatooxy)ethyl]sulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]benzenesulphonateusing MPBPVP v1.43 of EPI SUITE.

Based on the available data from modeling database EPI suite using the KOWWIN V1.68 programme, the estimated logPOW of the test substance disodium 2 -[(5 -carbamoyl-1 -ethyl-2 -hydroxy-4 -methyl-6 -oxo-1,6 -dihydropyridin-3 -yl)diazenyl]-4 -({4 -chloro-6 -[(3 -{[2 -(sulfonatooxy)ethyl]sulfonyl}phenyl)amino]-1,3,5 -triazin-2 -yl}amino)benzenesulfonate was -3.1973 at 25 degC.

Water solubility

The estimated water solubility of disodium 2 -[(5 -carbamoyl-1 -ethyl-2 -hydroxy-4 -methyl-6 -oxo-1,6 -dihydropyridin-3 -yl)diazenyl]-4 -({4 -chloro-6 -[(3 -{[2 - (sulfonatooxy)ethyl]sulfonyl}phenyl)amino]-1,3,5 -triazin-2 -yl}amino)benzenesulfonate at 25 deg C was 44 mg/l. In accordance with Column 2 adaptation statement of REACH Annex VII, information requirement 7.6, this end point was considered for waiver since surface activity was not a desired property of disodium 2-[[5-carbamoyl-1-ethyl-1,6-dihydro-2-hydroxy-4-methyl-6-oxo-3-pyridyl] azo]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[3-[[2- (sulphonato oxy)ethyl]sulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]benzenesulphonate.

Flash point

Auto flammability

Flammability

Disodium2 -[(5 -carbamoyl-1 -ethyl-2 -hydroxy-4 -methyl-6 -oxo-1,6 -dihydropyridin-3 -yl)diazenyl]-4 -({4 -chloro-6 -[(3 -{[2 -(sulfonatooxy)ethyl]sulfonyl}phenyl)amino]-1,3,5 -triazin-2 -yl}amino)benzenesulfonate does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that disodium2 -[(5 -carbamoyl-1 -ethyl-2 -hydroxy-4 -methyl-6 -oxo-1,6 -dihydropyridin-3 -yl)diazenyl]-4 -({4 -chloro-6 -[(3 -{[2 -(sulfonatooxy)ethyl]sulfonyl}phenyl)amino]-1,3,5 -triazin-2 -yl}amino)benzenesulfonate is not flammable at high temperature.
