Acute aquatic toxicity studies are available for three trophic levels.

Daphnia magna turned out to be the most sensitive species revealing an EC50 of 19 mg/L (nominal). Thus, the substance is considered to be harmful to aquatic organisms. The LC50/EC50 values detected for fish (Oryzias latipes) and algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus) were all > 100 mg/l.

In a respiration inhibition test with activated sludge an EC20 of 64 mg/L (nominal) was determined.

Chronic aquatic toxicity studies are not available.
