Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
Eyes: immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If easy to do, remove contact lenses. Get medical attention.
Skin: immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothes and shoes. Get medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Destroy or thoroughly clean contaminated shoes.
Ingestion: seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Fire degradation products: carbon oxides (CO, CO2) and nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2).
Fire extinguishing procedures: use dry chemicals, CO2, water spray or foam

Accidental release measures

Small spill and leak: use appropriate tools to put the spilled solid in a waste disposal
container. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface. Prevent from
entering sewer.
Large spill and leak: Wear protective goggles, boots, gloves and dust respirator. Minimize
generation of dust. Use a shovel to put the material into a waste disposal container. Finish
cleaning by spreading water on the contaminated surface.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid inhalation of dust, eye and skin contact. Exercise care to avoid creation of
a dust cloud when opening container of material when handling. Material is of small particle
size and readily adheres to most surfaces. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.
After handling, always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water. Bond and group
equipment if quantities of materials are being transferred.
Storage: keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Ventilation: good general ventilation (typically 10 air changes/hour) should be used. If applicable use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls.
Respiratory protection: if engineering controls are not adequate, use an approved respirator.
Eye protection: wear safety glasses with side shields or goggles. Wear a full-face respirator, if needed.
Skin protection: wear chemical-resistant gloves, footwear and protective clothing appropriate for the risk of exposure.
Recommended facilities: eye bath, safety shower, washing facilities.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: stable. Material can decompose at elevated temperatures. Use caution when storing or processing material above 119°C.
Incompatibility: material reacts with strong oxidizing agents.

Disposal considerations

Discharge, treatment, or disposal may be subject to national, state or local laws. Incinerate. Since empties containers retain product residues, follow label warnings even after container is emptied.
