PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION
- Method: Stock solutions of LAS material were prepared in high quality water at 1 g/L. Stock solutions were neutralized to a pH of 8.6 using NaOH. Test solutions were prepared by dilution of the stock solution in the dilution water (a blend of well and reverse osmosis water).

Executive summary:

In a 96 h static renewal acute toxicity study, Fathead minnow (Pimephales promelas) were exposed to LAS Pantera at nominal concentrations of 0 (control), 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 mg a.i./L. Measured concentrations were 0 (control), 0.24, 0.57, 0.98, 2.1, 3.96, 7.61, and 13.9 mg a.i./L. Measured concentrations were 87 -114% of nominal.

The 96 h LC50 value, based on measured test concentrations, for LAS- Pantera was 2.88 mg a.i./L with 95% confidence interval of 2.10 to 3.96 mg a.i./L.

This toxicity study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guidelines requirement for the OECD 203 fish acute toxicity study.
