Short-term toxicity to fish
Freshwater: The short-term toxicity to fish in freshwater was tested in two OECD guideline studies.The LC50 was determined to be 16.07 mg/L.
Saltwater: The short-term toxicity to fish in salt water was tested in an OECD guideline study.The LC50 was determined to be 240.04 mg/L.
Short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates
Freshwater: The short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates in freshwater was tested in two OECD guideline studies. The worst case EC50 was determined to be 11.9 mg/L.
Saltwater: The short-term toxicity to fish in salt water was tested in an OECD guideline study. The EC50 was determined to be 60.67 mg/L.
Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria
Freshwater: The test substance was tested in an OECD guideline 201 study with Desmodesmus subspicatus. The EC50 was determined to be 6.66 mg/L and EC10 was determined to be 3.4 mg/L.
Saltwater: The test substance was tested in a guideline study with Skeletone macostatum. The test substance exhibited a 72 h EC50 of 21 mg/L and a NOEC value of 10 mg/L.
Toxicity to microorganisms
The test substance was tested in an OECD guideline study. The EC50 was determined to be 550 mg/L.

Short-term toxicity to fish
The test substance was tested in an OECD guideline 203 study with Danio rerio in freshwater. The nominal concentrations tested were 0, 4.64, 10.0, 21.5, 46.4, 100 and 215 mg/L. The analytically detected concentrations were initially in the range of 96.0 - 107.8 % and after about 96 hours between 0 - 41.6 % of the nominal concentrations. The test substance exhibited a 96 h LC50 of 16.07 mg/L. The test substance was tested in a further OECD guideline study with Danio rerio. The LC50 was determined to be >100 mg/L. The test substance was also tested in an OECD guideline study with Scophthalmus maximus in salt water. 5 nominal concentrations were tested: 100, 180, 320, 560 and 1000 mg/L. No analytical monitoring was performed. The test substance exhibited a 96 h LC50 of 240.04 mg/L.
Short term toxicity to aquatic inverterbrates
The test substance was tested in an OECD guideline 202 study with Daphnia magna. The nominal concentrations tested were 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50, 100 mg/L. The analytical recovery rate in the concentration 25 mg/L was 101.2 % at the beginning and only 35 % after 48 h, in the concentration 6.25 mg/L even below the detection limit. The test substance exhibited a 48 h EC50 of 11.9 mg/L (measured concentration). The test substance was also tested in a further OECD guideline study with Daphnia magna. The EC50 was determined to be 58 mg/L. In a salt water test the test substance was tested in an OECD guideline study with Acarlia tonsa. 5 nominal concentrations were tested: 10, 18, 32, 56, 100 mg/L. The method estimates the effect of chemicals on the mortality/immobility on adult copepods over a period of 48h at a temperature of 20+/- 2°C.The test substance exhibited a 96 h LC50 of 60.67 mg/L.
Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria
The test substance was tested in an OECD guideline 201 study with Desmodesmus subspicatus. The nominal concentrations tested were 0, 0.39, 0.78, 1.56, 3.13, 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50, 100 mg/L. The analytical results yielded 80 % or higher recoveries; they varied between 101 and 110 % of the nominal concentrations at test initiation and between 103 to 108 % at test termination. The EC50 was determined to be 6.66 mg/L and EC10 was determined to be 3.4 mg/L. The test substance was tested in a further supporting guideline study with Desmodesmus subspicatus. The EC50 was determined to be 6.4 mg/L the EC10 was determined to be 5 mg/L. The test substance was also tested in salt water in a guideline study with Skeletonema costatum. 5 nominal concentrations were tested: 1, 3.2, 10, 32 and 1000 mg/L. The test substance exhibited a 72 h EC50 of 21 mg/L and a NOEC value of 10 mg/L.
Toxicity to microorganisms
The test substance was tested in an OECD guideline 209 study. The nominal concentrations tested were 10, 100, 248, 496, 1000 mg/L. The EC50 was determined to be 550 mg/L. The toxicity to microorganisms was tested in a second study according to DIN 38412-8. The nominal concentration (mg/L) used were: 39.06, 78.13, 156.25, 312.5, 625, 1250, 2500, 5000, 10000. The EC50 value was determined to be 55.4 mg/L and the EC10 value was determined to be 41.3 mg/L. Both values are based on growth inhibition. A third OECD guideline study exhibited a EC50 value of 560 mg/l. A forth OECD guideline study with only few data showed an EC50 value of 370 mg/L. The EC10 value was determined to be 140 mg/L.
