Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Measured 96hr LC50 of components: 72.9, 75.2, >10g/l respectively. Training values from QSAR of 75mg/l (DEG) and 60-77mg/l (TEG)
QSAR 96hr LC50 values of components: 38, 115, 287g/l

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water fish

Fresh water fish
Effect concentration:
70 g/L

Additional information

There are measured LC50 values available for all of the components. However, one of these is only a limit value. The two measured values are very similar and from the structural similarity of the three components, similar toxicity would be expected. The QSAR suggests that toxicity decreases with increasingly molecular weight. All data indicates very low toxicity to fish. The key parameter is set at a rounded figure close to the two true LC50 measured values for which study reports are available. The key parameter is consistent with the QSAR and remaining limit value. The is no data for toxicity to marine water fish.
