The determined adsorption coefficient value, Koc indicates that the substance will be immobile in the soil compartment.

Based on the low value calculated by EUSES, the Henry's law constant is 1.99 E-03 Pa.m3/mol. It can be concluded that once emitted to the water compartment 1,1’-isopropylidenebis(p-phenyleneoxy)dipropan-2-ol will have no tendency to partition into air.

The SimpleTreat model, which is incorporated in EUSES, simulates the distribution oft he substance in a Sewage Treatment Plant. The result of this model shows that the substance will partition to water at 26,4% and in activated sludge at 20,6%. Considering that 60% of ultimate biodegradation was reached within the 28-day period of the OECD 301F test, the substance is readily biodegradable but failing the 10 days windows criteria. Therefore, SimpleTreat predicts that 53% of the substance is degraded.
