Description of key information

One key study was available for the assessment of the auto-ignition temperature:
Flemming F (2010) The determination of the Flash Point and the Ignition Temperature of a sample "Dibutylzinndiacetat". Testing laboratory: IBExU Inst. für Sicherheitstechnik GmbH, Fuchsmühlenweg 7, 09599 Freiberg, Germany. Owner company: BNT Chemicals GmbH. Report No.: IB-10-6-014.
The study was in-house data conducted to the guideline BS EN 14522:2005 Determination of the auto ignition temperature of gases and vapours. The study was assigned a reliability score of 2 and considered suitable for assessment.
The auto ignition temperature was determined to be 520°C according to the following method: BS EN 14522:2005 Determination of the auto ignition temperature of gases and vapours.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
520 °C

Additional information

A reliability rating of 2 was assigned to the key study, Flemming F (2010), according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the study was conducted in-house to a suitable guideline, however only summary reports were provided with minimal information on methods and results. The auto ignition temperature was determined to be 520 °C.
