Description of key information
Farnesane has low water solubility (limit of water solubility: 0.25 µg/L) and has a low vapour pressure (89.3 Pa at 20 °C) and a high calculated log Koc = 6.5. The environmental transport and distribution of farnesane has been modelled using EpiSuite v 4.11 and predicts that it will be found primarily in water (63.9%) and sediment (28%). Smaller amounts will partition to soil (1.27%) and air (6.9%).
