Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of sodium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate (CAS No. 2702-72-9) to earthworms was investigated by Swoboda (2006). The test has been conducted according to OECD Guideline No. 207, Earthworm, Acute Toxicity Tests (1984) under GLP conditions. After 14 days of exposure in artificial soil, mortality was observed only at the highest concentration tested (1000 mg/kg dry weight). The resulting LC50 was 860.4 mg test substance/kg dry weight soil (corresponding to 808.8 mg a.i./kg dw soil).
